Welcome to Tugun Osteopathy, we are a friendly welcoming Osteopathy clinic centred in the heart of Tugun, Gold Coast, Queensland. Our mission is to provide empathetic, compassionate, wholistic and personalised Osteopathic care to the community.
We are passionate about helping individuals on their health and wellness journey and are committed to wholistic health and patient-centered care. We prioritise understanding each individual's unique needs, tailoring our Osteopathic treatments to address a multitude of musculoskeletal concerns, promote optimal wellness, and enhance overall health. Meet the Team
Dr. Kira Nee
Kira is a fully qualified and registered Osteopath and member of Osteopathy Australia. She began practicing Osteopathy in 2020 after completing a Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science with a major in Osteopathy from RMIT University.
Kira has worked in private practice since graduating and enjoys treating a wide variety of patients and conditions, including neck pain, jaw pain, low back pain and more. As her experience in Osteopathy has grown so has her interest in women’s health, pelvic health complaints and pregnancy. Kira has completed further training in internal pelvic assessments and treatments, urogenital prolapse, pregnancy, post natal care and more and has since completed her masters in Women’s Health Medicine at the University of New South Wales.
Kira enjoys working with her patients and establishing a long-term plan to assist them in achieving their goals. Kira has a wholistic and methodical approach to her treatment and management of patients and will tailor her treatment to the individual. Kira will incorporate hands on Osteopathic techniques as well as dry needling, education, lifestyle and stress management.
Fees and Payment
DVA, TAC & Workcover (QLD)
We accept DVA, TAC and Workcover Queensland clients. Please make sure you bring along all relevant documentation and note that all payments must be taken on the day, and claimed back personally.
Medicare and Osteopathy
A medicare rebate is available for Osteopathy services under the Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). A rebate of $60.35 is available for Osteopathy services for a maximum of 5 appointments per patient each calendar year.
To access this program, book an appointment with your General Practitioner and they will assess if you are eligible for this plan. Once you have been approved your doctor will provide you with up to 5 rebated allied health appointments.
Private Health Insurance
Most Private health Insurance companies offer cover for Osteopathy.
The amount of cover will vary depending on the health fund you are with and your level of cover.

Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a form of healthcare that utilises hands on manual therapy to enhance the bodies natural ability to heal and function optimally. Utilising a range of techniques to diagnose and treat different biomechanical and musculoskeletal conditions.
Common conditions we can help you with include; lower back pain, hip pain, neck pain, headaches, jaw pain, plantar fasciitis, elbow pain and more.

Pelvic Health
Pelvic Health Osteopathy involves the treatment and management of a range of pelvic health and pelvic floor related conditions.
This includes; pregnancy care, 6 week post- natal check ups, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and more.

Dry Needling & Cupping
Dry Needling:
Dry needling involves the insertion of thin needles into specific trigger points within a muscle. It is used to release muscle tension, reduce pain, improve range of motion and stimulate tissue healing.Cupping:
Cupping is a traditional technique that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction gently draws the skin and superficial muscle layer into the cup, promoting blood flow, reducing muscle tension, and relieving pain. -
Birth Preparation
These sessions aim to empower and educate the birthing person and help them prepare for birth. They will focus on: the movement of the baby and the pelvis during labour, providing numerous active birth positions to help optimise space in the pelvis and movement of the baby.
