Do I need a referral to see an Osteopath?
No, you do not need a referral to see an Osteopath.

What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable loose fitting clothing. Depending on the area of your body being assessed and requiring treatment your Osteopath may ask you to undress. It is important that you feel comfortable and you may therefore like to bring shorts to wear.

What training do Osteopaths have?
In Australia Osteopaths study for a minimum of 4 years and the length of study will depend on the university attended.
RMIT- 5 years
Victoria University- 4.5 years
Southern Cross University- 4 years

What can I expect on my first appointment?
A thorough case history will be taken to ensure a thorough understanding of your condition and any contributing factors.
Your Osteopath will undertake any relevant testing and assessments to help diagnosis and determine the appropriate treatment approach.

What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring along any relevant imaging results or health care letters you may have. You may also wish to bring a friend or family member to accompany you.
If you would like us to provide a chaperone, please let us know in advance.

I am a DVA client, can I book in?
Yep we accept all DVA clients just make sure to bring along your referal and veteran file number.

Do you accept TAC & Work Cover clients?
Yes, we accept TAC and Workcover Queensland or Victoria clients. Please make sure you bring along all relevant documentation and note that all payments must be taken on the day, and claimed back personally.

Can I claim Private Health Insurance?
Yes. Most Private health Insurance companies offer cover for Osteopathy.
The amount of cover will vary depending on the health fund you are with and your level of cover.
On the spot claiming is available in clinic.

Dot you accept Medicare Care Plans?
Yes, we do.
A medicare rebate is available for Osteopathy services under the Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). A rebate of $60.35 is available for Osteopathy services for a maximum of 5 appointments per patient each calendar year.
To access this program, book an appointment with your General Practitioner and they will assess if you are eligible for this plan. Once you have been approved your doctor will provide you with up to 5 rebated allied health appointments.

What is the difference between Osteopathy & Physiotherapy?
The answer to this is broad and can vary greatly depending on the individual practitioners in each field. Both modalities are very similar in the wide range of conditions they can treat, it is the difference in philosophy, principles and techniques that set each modality apart from one another.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, we would appreciate at least 12 hours notice. If you cancel your appointment within 12 hours you may be charged a 50% late cancellation fee.

Where can I park?
There is plenty of street parking available as well as a car park at the end of Toolona Street, less than 50metres away.
